“I shared the Foul Play Rugby Six Nations first chapter today with a group of year 6 boys who we are trying to encourage to read more – they loved it” Bovey Tracey Primary School
What is it?
A new live classroom read for England Rugby in 2016, featuring Danny & Charlotte from my Foul Play series. It will be published weekly, every Monday morning by 7 a.m. from 1st February to 21st March. It will be cliffhanging, exciting and will include events that have happened at the tournament the weekend before publication. Each chapter will take ten minutes to read aloud and is aimed at the classroom and home.
A thriller set in Edinburgh, Rome, London, Cardiff and Paris, where a Saturday job application becomes serious. Deadly serious.
It all starts when Danny sees an advert in the Rugby Paper, one week before the Six Nations kicks off.
SATURDAY JOB. Wanted: sports detectives. In pairs. Text 24601 for info.
And Danny can’t help himself. It has always been his mission to solve sports crimes, to be a real sports detective. So he applies – with his best friend Charlotte – and they find themselves part of an eight-week adventure where they have to tackle clues related to the Six Nations rugby and the countries hosting it.
They are given flight tickets, money and two state-of-the-art mobile phones to help them solve the clues. But they are not alone in their quest: they are up against three other teams who are eady to play dirty. Danny and Charlotte need to come out on top by solving all six clues to gain the ultimate prize: a contract as young undercover detectives employed by the British Police Force.
